Montessori methodology

Behind every Montessori environment there is a reason. We explain it to you

Here we answer, in simple words, the questions parents ask us most before enrolling their child.

What is the Prepared Environment? A classroom organized into open areas, with materials within the child's reach so they can choose their own work.
What is the absorbent mind? The child's natural ability to learn from their surroundings without conscious effort, between ages 0 and 6.
What sets Montessori Calmecac apart from other Montessori schools? A curriculum with an English guide inside the classroom every day, plus a multidisciplinary team for motor skills, music, art and taekwondo that reinforces each student's overall development.
Frequently asked questions

What families ask before enrolling

What is a Montessori school? A school that applies the method created by Maria Montessori: children learn at their own pace within a prepared environment, with specific materials and freedom within clear limits.
From what age can my child start? Infant Community welcomes children from 0 to 3 years old, and Children's House from 3 to 6. The enrollment process begins in February and peaks until August, although late enrollments are accepted throughout the school year.
What happens if my child doesn't continue here after finishing a level? Montessori Calmecac is incorporated into the SEP (Mexico's Ministry of Public Education), so we provide all the official documentation needed to enroll smoothly in any institution.
